I finally had a moment to check out StudioRack. After the great job you've done with VidBlaster I was hoping this could virtualize my mixer. While it seams you are working on virtualizing audio outputs (microphone module???), I don't see anything that I can add to increasing the number of tracks I'm mixing down to. I'll try to explain my dream application and hope it makes sense.

I've quickly realized that input and output can get confused very easily so I'll try to explain where the audio is going when I use them.

Starting off I'd like to be able to add any number of StudioRack outputs. This are modules which StudioRack inputs can can mix down to and then either be bound to play out though a physical output on your computer, or a logical input.
StudioRack inputs would work in the opposite fashion. After being added they could either be bound to a physical input (microphone) on your computer, or a logical output.

To give you an idea of what I'm trying to accomplish I'll explain in more practical terms.
I need to take audio being input from my Physical Microphone, ooVoo, Skype, Winamp, and Default Windows Sounds. I then need to mix these down into three different mixes. One for the Live Stream and Recorder, one to go back to ooVoo, and one to go back to Skype.

So for this application I would need 5 Inputs and 3 Outputs
Input 1
 - Bound to Mic In on Sound Card
Input 2
 - Bound to Virtual Speaker 1 (This is what ooVoo plays audio out to)
Input 3
 - Bound to Virtual Speaker 2 (This is what Skype plays audio out to)
Input 4
 - Bound to Virtual Speaker 3 (This is what Winamp plays audio out to)
Input 5
 - Bound to Virtual Speaker 4 (This is what Default Windows Sounds play audio out to)
Output 1
 - Bound to Virtual Mic 1 (This is what the stream and the recorder receive input from)
Output 2
 - Bound to Virtual Mic 2 (This is what ooVoo receives input from)
Output 3
 - Bound to Virtual Mic 3 (This is what Skype receives input from)
I would also want to switch my physical speakers to monitor any one of the outputs at any time.

For Input 1 I would want to add sub mixes for Outputs 1, 2, and 3. The Stream, ooVoo cohost, and Skype callin all need to hear me.
For Input 2 I would want to add sub mixes for Output 1 and 3. The stream and Skype callin need to hear the cohost, but they don't need to hear them self.
For Input 3 I would want to add sub mixes for Output 1 and 2. The stream, and ooVoo cohost need to hear the callin but they don't need to hear them self.
For Input 4 I would want to add sub mixes for Output 1, 2, and 3. The Stream, ooVoo cohost, and Skype callin all need to hear what Winamp may be playing, but ooVoo and Skype don't need it as high of a volume.
For Input 5 I would want to add sub mixes for Output 1, 2, and 3. The Stream, ooVoo cohost, and Skype callin all need to hear what Windows is playing (i.e. YouTube, Windows Media Player, etc...), but ooVoo and Skype don't need it as high of a volume.

I hope this all makes sence. I don't know if this is what you're going for with StudioRack, but if it were to be added to VidBlaster you'd defiantly have another 5 bills from me going to way for a Studio upgrade :)

or just to clone an existing virtual host configuration to a new one, that would solve my existing challenge as well... though if Im doing that, I suppose I should have a template....
